At LintIt ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe your career data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the LintIt resume builder, ATS optimization tools, and cover letter generator, how we use that data, and your rights regarding your personal information.

We do not sell your data to recruiters, employers, or third-party advertisers.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you sign in via Clerk, we receive your email address, name, and profile identifier to authenticate your account.
• Resume & Career Data: Work history, educational background, skills, contact info, and job descriptions you enter or upload to generate resumes and cover letters.
• Uploaded Documents: PDF resumes uploaded for ATS score parsing are processed temporarily in memory to extract text and are never publicly indexed.
• Analytics & Feedback: Aggregated usage telemetry (via Vercel Analytics) and messages submitted through our feedback widget.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information exclusively to:

• Format and generate PDF and web resumes according to your selected templates.
• Provide AI-powered bullet suggestions, keyword matching, and ATS compatibility scores.
• Save your resume versions and drafts to your secure account.
• Respond to feedback and deliver product updates you opt-in to receive.

4. Data Security & Storage

We implement industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS 1.3) and at rest. Your account documents are stored in secure cloud database clusters (MongoDB) protected by strict access controls and authenticated user sessions.

5. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You maintain complete control over your content. You can edit, export to PDF, or permanently delete your resumes and cover letters at any time from your Dashboard. If you delete your account, all associated resumes and profile records are permanently removed from our databases.
